Question Time in the House of Commons is an opportunity for MPs to question government ministers about matters for which they are responsible.

Prime Minister’s Question Time, also referred to as PMQs, takes place every Wednesday that the House of Commons is sitting and gives MPs the chance to put questions to the Prime Minister.

In most cases, the session starts with a routine ‘open question’ from an MP about the Prime Minister’s engagements. MPs can then ask supplementary questions on any subject, often one of current political significance.

The Leader of the Opposition, Jeremy Corbyn asks six questions and the leader of the second largest opposition party asks two.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders responded to her Friday controversy of being asked to leave the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia.

“Healthy debate on ideas and political philosophy is important, but the calls for harassment and push for any Trump supporter to avoid the public is unacceptable,” Sanders told reporters at the top of Monday’s White House press briefing. “America is a great country and our ability to find solutions despite those disagreements is what makes us unique.”

The Shenandoah Valley farm-to-table restaurant asked Sanders and her family to leave because she works for President Trump, who called the restaurant “filthy” for showing her the door.

“The Red Hen Restaurant should focus more on cleaning its filthy canopies, doors and windows (badly needs a paint job) rather than refusing to serve a fine person like Sarah Huckabee Sanders,” Mr. Trump tweeted. “I always had a rule, if a restaurant is dirty on the outside, it is dirty on the inside!”

The president has not eaten at a restaurant not owned or licensed by the Trump Organization in the United States since his election, according to records kept by CBS News’ Mark Knoller.

Democratic leaders on Wednesday night declared that they had a deal with President Trump to quickly extend protections for young undocumented immigrants and to finalize a border security package that does not include the president’s proposed wall.

The Democrats, Senator Chuck Schumer and Representative Nancy Pelosi, said in a joint statement that they had a “very productive” dinner meeting with the president at the White House that focused on the program known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA. “We agreed to enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that’s acceptable to both sides,” they said.

Eight patients at a sweltering nursing home died after Hurricane Irma knocked out the air conditioning, raising fears Wednesday about the safety of Florida’s 4 million senior citizens amid power outages that could last for days.

Hollywood Police Chief Tom Sanchez said investigators believe the deaths at the Rehabilitation Center at Hollywood Hills were heat-related, and added: “The building has been sealed off and we are conducting a criminal investigation.”
