The latest figures reveal the Princess Royal made 148 official engagements in 2020. She also spent 145 days carrying out public duties. In the number of hours given to duties, Prince Charles came in second place.

The Prince of Wales carried out 146 official engagements.

In comparison, the Queen was the third-hardest working royal.

Her Majesty carried out 136 engagements over a period of 130 days.

The data was taken from the official record of royal engagements.

The data was analysed by commercial property agents SavoyStewart.co.uk.

Royal engagements are recorded in the official record called the Royals in the Court Circular.

Spokesperson for SavoyStewart.co.uk Darren Best said: “For many generations, the royal family’s fierce dedication to serving the crown has been one of their greatest legacies.

“It is that our findings clearly indicate that age is no obstacle for the most senior members of ‘the Firm’.

Her charity work includes sport, sciences, and people with disabilities.

She is also involved in charities helping to promote health in developing countries.

The Princess Royal has been associated with Save the Children for over fifty years.

She has visited a number of Save the Children projects across the world.

Her work with charities resulted in her nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1990.
