In the North East of England, Darlington, Stockton on Tees, Redcar and Cleveland, Hambleton and Middlesbrough are likely to see a surge in COVID-19 cases.

These areas are coloured red on the map to show the extent of cases.

Already parts of the North of England are under stricter conditions than the rest of the country due to the level of cases recorded.

From today, Bradford, Kirklees and Calderdale in West Yorkshire, as well as Wolverhampton and Oadby & Wigston, are under new restrictions.
