The Duke and the Duchess of Sussex recently purchased a new home in Montecito, a community in Santa Barbara, about an hour north of Los Angeles. The £11.211.645 ($14,650,000) property is a 9-bedroom, 16-bathroom mansion that sits on a large lot with a rose garden.

The luxurious home boasts other lavish amenities including a library, spa, wet and dry saunas, a gym, game room, arcade, theatre, wine cellar, and a five-car garage.

Meghan and Harry are reportedly creating a comfortable space for Ms Ragland within their new property inside one of their guesthouses.

Speaking to news outlet US Weekly, a source close to the couple said: “They’re converting one of the guesthouses into a home for Doria, who plans to split her time between LA and Montecito.”

Back in May, a source revealed to that the couple had plans for Ms Ragland to move in with them.

The source said: “Once quarantine and lockdown are over, Harry and Meghan will be moving into their new pad—and they want Doria to be included in these plans.

”She is hugely independent though, and doesn’t want to be in their space. She will have her own granny annexe.”

The Sussexes chose the Santa Barbara residential area to raise their son, Archie, in a safe, private neighbourhood, where they will be mixing with high-profile names from the Hollywood sphere.

The US Weekly source said: “They’ve already met some of their neighbours, like Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry, who are locals.

”Harry and Meghan finally feel happy, safe and home!”

Speaking to Page Six about the couple’s decision to buy a home, a source revealed that they moved in last month.

They said: “Harry and Meghan have been quietly living in their own home in Santa Barbara since early July.

“They are not houseguests of Oprah or anyone else, they bought this home themselves.

“This is where they want to continue their lives after leaving the UK. This is the first home either of them has ever owned.

“It has been a very special time for them as a couple and as a family — to have complete privacy for six weeks since they moved in.

“They intend to put down their roots in this house and the quiet community, which has considerable privacy.

“This is where they want to bring Archie up, where they hope he can have as normal a life as possible.”

The source added: “Harry and Meghan never intended to make Los Angeles their home.

“It was a good place for them to be upon their arrival in the US to be close to Meghan’s mom.”
