The couple, who now live in a £11million property in Montecito, California with son Archie, one, are said to be assessing their associates in a “zero-tolerance” clampdown at the start of 2021. It has been a busy 12 months for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they stepped back from royal duties before launching various projects, such as the Archewell Audio podcast.

They purchased their home in the affluent part of Santa Barbara in the summer but there have been few sightings of them by neighbours.

Actor Rob Lowe, who lives around a mile away, claims Harry, 36, has been “very reclusive” and that spotting him is “like seeing the Loch Ness Monster”.

They were photographed walking in Beverly Hills days before Christmas in concealing clothing.

Harry wore a grey cap while Meghan sported a black beanie and sunglasses. Both wore protective masks.

Meghan’s half-sister Samantha Markle, 56, is also releasing a book, The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister Part 1, which is expected to reveal stories about their younger days.

An insider has told Heat World the couple are taking their privacy very seriously.

They told the magazine: “Harry and Meghan are more concerned than ever about protecting their privacy.

“They’re going through the list of people in their inner circle with a fine-tooth comb, and anyone who enters their world is thoroughly vetted.

A source close to the couple told PA at the start of the year.

They said: “After a very turbulent 12 months for everyone in the world and massive changes of moving country and all the rest of it, they have also been very vocal about what they have gone through in their own personal life.

“They have a house. They have created the financial independence that they were after.

“I think that they are in a very good place.”
