Prince Louis, two, looks adorable in a new picture shared by Kensington Palace. The whole Cambridge family feature in the photo, which appears to show Kate and William’s youngest child making a sweet nod to Prince George, seven.

The new photo shared by Kensington Palace marks Sir David Attenborough’s visit to the London residence on Thursday.

The 94-year-old natural historian was invited to the Palace to preview his new environmental documentary, A Life On Our Planet.

Kate and William watched the private screening in Kensington gardens, as they sat at a safe distance from Sir David.

After the viewing the veteran broadcaster chatted with the couple and their three children, Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, two.

Pictures from the visit have been shared by Kensington Palace, which show Prince Louis wearing an adorable pair of navy shorts, with matching long socks and a blue jumper as he stands with his hands in the air.

The choice of outfit appears to be a sweet nod to his older brother, as George has often been pictured wearing very similar outfits.

At a charity polo match in June 2014 George wore blue navy shorts and matching shoes, a white shirt and a blue cardigan.

Similarly, during the Cambridges’ tour of Canada in September 2016, George wore navy shorts with long socks, a white chequered shirt and a blue jumper.

Last year Prince William interviewed Sir David at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

During the discussion the broadcast warned that humanity needed to act so that they did not “annihilate part of the natural world”.

Both men share a passion for protecting the natural world and continue to support each other’s endeavours to tackle some of the biggest environmental challenges the planet faces.

This includes working together on the Duke’s Earthshot Prize, an ambitious global environment project announced last December to combat climate issues.

Further details about the prize are expected in the coming weeks.

David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet premieres in cinemas on Monday and will launch on Netflix on October 4.

An accompanying book is published on October 1.
