The Princess and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi married on July 17 this year in a wedding which was held largely away from the public eye. However, a London fashion house has spoken out about one detail of the wedding involving a gift received by Beatrice.
Hand & Lock, 250-year-old embroidery service with a history of providing personalised clothing for the royals, posted a picture on Instagram not long after the ceremony, which revealed the Princess’ silk robe is personalised with the letters ‘Mrs MM’.
The letters, which presumably mean ‘Mrs Mapelli Mozzi’ have been embroidered in a pink with a curly font.
Hand & Lock said in a comment accompanying the photo: “Congratulations to the newly married Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
“We are in awe of the Princess’ wedding dress and tiara which were lent to her by the Queen, and remodelled and fitted specifically for Beatrice.
“Mrs Mapelli Mozzi was gifted a silk robe, monogrammed by us, for her special day.”
However, it was not revealed who actually gifted the gown to Princess Beatrice.

In March this year, Hand & Lock restored two banners that had originally been embroidered at the start of the 1900s, and which were due to be put up in St George’s Chapel.
And in April last year, the firm was granted a Royal Warrant by the Queen.
A Royal Warrant of Appointment is granted to individuals or firms which provide services to the royals.
Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice’s mother Sarah Ferguson last week shared a new photo of Beatrice’s wedding to Mr Mapelli Mozzi.
Analysts say the photo is never-before-seen, and shows the two royals holding hands on the day and smiling at one another in black and white.
The photo appears to have been printed off and stuck onto a label, onto which a blue ribbon is tied.
Princess Beatrice’s wedding dress is also clearly visible in the photo, which was revealed to have been pre-owned by her grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
The 1960s dress was designed by Norman Hartnell. Following the wedding, it was subsequently put in display at Windsor Castle this September.
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi got married at Windsor Great Park.
Mr Mapelli Mozzi is a millionaire property mogul, serving as director of property development company Banda.
