Historically, some royals have taken a few weeks to share their babies names with the world.

Prince Andrew and Sarah, the Duchess of York did not reveal Princess Beatrice’s name until two weeks after she was born.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana waited a week before sharing William’s name in June 1982.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip took even longer, waiting a full month before debuting Prince Charles’ name in November 1948.

And Hello! believes Eugenie and Jack could follow the rare trend by delaying the reveal.

Royal tradition holds the Queen is the first person told about a royal birth, usually in a telephone call.

An official notice is then posted on an easel inside the gates of Buckingham Palace, as well as on social media.

The announcement usually reveals the baby’s genes, time of birth and the health of the mother.

Eugenie’s baby will not have a royal title, as they are passed down the male line.
