The new royal baby will be 11th in line to the throne when they are born, knocking Zara Tindall down the list. Princess Anne’s daughter is currently 18th, but will be 19th when Eugenie’s baby is born. It comes after Eugenie has been rumoured to snub the Queen’s offer of a royal title for her child.

Eugenie and Mr Brooksbank, married in 2018, are expecting their first child next year.

Their first born will be 11th in the line of succession, pushing the 39-year-old Zara further down the list.

Zara and Mike Tindall’s eldest daughter Mia, six, will also drop to 20th when Eugenie’s child is born.

Prince Edward, the Queen’s youngest son, will drop behind Eugenie and her child to 12th in the line.

It comes after speculation Eugenie will not see an official royal title for her first born, unless the Queen decides to intervene.

Hello! magazine’s royal editor Emily Nash said: “As things stand, Princess Eugenie’s baby will not have a title, or use the HRH style, because these are passed down the male line and Jack does not have a title.

“The Queen could change this, but only by giving Jack a title of his own or changing the rules on inheriting titles by issuing Letters Patent.

“He or she will be known as Master or Miss Brooksbank, similar to most other great-grandchildren of the Queen, such as Savannah and Isla Phillips, Mia and Lena Tindall and Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.”

Anne also decided not to give Zara and her other children a royal title when they were born, despite still being a member of the Windsor family, for the same familial reason.

In 2015, Zara said she was thankful she did not get a royal title, and said it opened up more opportunities for her.

She said: “I’m very lucky that both my parents decided to not use the title and we grew up and did all the things that gave us the opportunity to do.”

Zara has become an accomplished rider and achieved an Olympic silver medal during 2012.

Eugenie also recently was advised to reveal her and Mr Brooksbank’s first-born’s gender online.

Omid Scobie, royal commentator who recently released a biography on the Sussexes exit from the Royal Family, said he believes Eugenie should reveal the baby’s gender on TikTok.

He added: “The baby is due quite soon by the looks of it.

“We had the statement from Buckingham Palace just before we started to record this show.”
