Queen responds as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry set for interview – Palace speak out | Royal | News (Reports)

Meghan and Harry will break their long-awaited silence on Megxit when they sit down with US chat show legend Oprah Winfrey.

The bombshell interview will be broadcast on March 7 – almost a year after they left their senior royal positions for life across the Atlantic.

Buckingham Palace has said the couple are free to conduct their own media commitments as they are not working members of The Firm.

A statement read: The Duke and Duchess are no longer working members of the royal family and therefore any decisions they take with regard to media commitments are matters for them.

“As non-working members of the Royal Family they are under no obligation to inform the Royal Household of such plans.”
