But the Countess of Wessex, who is said to be a favourite of the Queen, has been quietly carrying out duties during the coronavirus outbreak.
Princess Anne, 70, who is often dubbed the most hardworking royal, has been continuing her busy schedule.
The Princess Royal has impressed royal fans with her personalised face mask which she has worn during a number of recent engagements.
