Our poll comes after Mr Johnson on Saturday announced a second national lockdown in England.

The strict new measures come into force on Thursday and last until December 2.

Pubs, bars and restaurants will have to close, along with non-essential retail and entertainment and leisure facilities such as gyms, cinemas and soft play centres.

Household mixing will be banned and people are to work from home if they can.

Unlike the first lockdown in March, schools, colleges and universities will remain open.

But Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove has already admitted the restrictions could be extended beyond the beginning of December.

The UK reported 23,254 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, taking the overall total to 1,034,914. The death toll rose by 162 to 46,717.

Express.co.uk polled 9,757 people on November 1 from 2.03pm to 9.16pm.
