Kate Middleton ‘didn’t meet Archie for a week’ reveals insider

Kate and Princess Victoria had a huge presence last year as they carried out various engagements in their countries the UK and Sweden to help reassure citizens over the coronavirus pandemic. German magazine Frau Im Spiegel carried out a Kantar-Emnid survey which asked 1,000 women in Germany who they thought was the most popular of the princesses and young queens. Victoria topped the poll with 18 percent, while Kate closely followed with 16 percent of the vote.

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands came third with 14 percent.

Meghan Markle received only eight percent of the vote, while Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway got five percent and Spain’s Queen Letizia gained two percent.

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, Queen Mathilde of Belgium and Princess Charlène each had one percent.

Meghan spent the pandemic with Prince Harry and their son Archie in their new home in Santa Barbara, in the US, after stepping down as a senior royal.

They were pictured volunteering and held various video calls to show their support with the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement.

Meghan and Harry also signed multi million pound deals with Spotify and Amazon, which is sure to keep them busy in 2021.

The Duchess of Cambridge was praised for the ways she adapted to the Covid pandemic last year.

Kate launched her photography Hold Still project, while playing virtual bingo with Prince William on video calls in care homes and calling pensioners to help combat their loneliness.

The Duchess even embarked on a royal train tour last month to personally thank those who have helped make a difference in the pandemic.

She was most recently seen posing with William and their three children, Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, two, for their Christmas card.

However, Kate may be spending England’s third lockdown at the family’s Norfolk home, Anmer Hall.

Her young children are believed to be learning virtually once again too.

Kate shared her experience of homeschooling her children last year.

She said at the time: “The children have got such stamina.

“You pitch a tent, take the tent down again, cook, bake.

“You get to the end of the day—they’ve had a lovely time, but it’s amazing how much you can cram into a day, that’s for sure.”

The Duchess of Cambridge is also set to celebrate her 39th birthday on January 9, although celebrations may be small.

Meanwhile, Victoria celebrated her tenth wedding anniversary with her husband Prince Daniel during the pandemic but also still held video conferences for people in Sweden.

She also hiked 47 kilometres through Sweden’s mountains to showcase the beauty of the country and help bring more tourism.

The princess showed family was still important to the royals during lockdown as the Swedish Royal Family even released a video of them contacting distant family members and also Princess Madeleine’s family in the US in April.

The video started with Victoria and their family contacting King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia at Stenhammar Palace.

Victoria said: “Hey, how lovely to see you!”

Then two more screens popped up with Princess Madeleine’s family in Florida and Prince Carl Philip’s family in Villa Sollbacken as they wish each other a happy Easter.

In December, Victoria also wished citizens a peaceful advent with her young children Estelle, eight, and Oscar, four, from the comfort of their living room.

The Princess said: “Advent means arrival and hope – something that feels particularly important this year.”
