The Royal Family has endured a difficult year as a result of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle standing down from senior duties, and Prince Andrew’s controversial friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Yet, many observers are hopeful a new addition will be welcomed to the world by one of the Royal Family’s more senior members, with speculation surrounding whether Kate, Princess Eugenie or Princess Beatrice will be next to announce their pregnancy. Previously, different hints have been made when a royal is pregnant, particularly Kate, who gives away a subtle suggestion with the way she wears her hair.
Kate, and her husband Prince William, already have three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
And it was while she was pregnant with the latter that experts spotted a trait she has made her own while in the early days of her pregnancy.
While pregnant with Louis, Kate opted to cut her hair short, moving away from her renowned “big and bouncy Chelsea blow dry” look.
She returned to her iconic style following Louis’ arrival, with celebrity hairstylist James Johnson explaining that it could be to “keep her hair off her face” while attending to her three young children.
Speaking to FEMAIL, Mr Johnson said: “She was known for her big and bouncy ‘Chelsea blow dry’ for years and now she’s gone back to that, back to her signature style.
“It might be easier for her to have longer hair so that she can pull it back and off her face while running after three young children.”
Kate initially trimmed her hair back while attending Wimbledon three years ago, which experts said coincided with the early days of her pregnancy with Louis.
Fellow celebrity stylist Jay Birmingham revealed that after Louis was born, Kate opted for a more suitable hairstyle to merge the pressures of parenting and elegance.

“When you’re pregnant you can feel low in terms of self esteem as your body goes through such drastic changes throughout nine months so Kate may have cut her hair differently to give herself a confidence boost and experiment with a new look whilst she may not have been feeling 100 percent herself.”
Other ways the likes of Kate have exposed they are expecting, include refusing alcoholic drinks while attending visits to other countries, including the trip to Ireland, where a traditional pint of Guinness is enjoyed.
It comes as the Duchess of Cambridge sparked widespread excitement after she appeared on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast to discuss parenthood.
She revealed that all mothers suffer from “mum guilt”, and that “anyone who doesn’t as a mother is lying”.
The royal added: “There’s such a pull, but I am such a hands-on mum, and whatever you’re doing you want to make sure you’re doing the uttermost best job you can for your children.”
