Kate, Duchess of Cambridge’s appearance in a recent virtual engagement has sparked comparisons to Spain’s Queen Letizia. The British royal had been speaking to key workers in the nursing sector about the challenges they have been facing throughout the pandemic. According to the royal watcher blog, Regalfille, the Duchess’ outfit was reminiscent of clothes worn by the European royal.
While speaking to nurses at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, Kate could be seen in a simple white blouse and black blazer.
She also appeared to be wearing her Simone Rocha earrings, which have been noticed on other occasions.
Regalfille wrote: “The Duchess of Cambridge chose to wear Queen Letizia’s star garment: a black blazer. Under this basic there was a white shirt, tailored cut, with small lapels and a V neckline.
“The Duchess of Cambridge has thus opted for a timeless working girl look that never fails in black and white.”

It continued: “These basic wardrobe items have also become the staples of Queen Letizia’s outfits during the past quarantine, when she spent several months teleworking.
“Some calls in which Letizia appeared she, in most cases, was also wearing this garment.
“Felipe VI’s wife opted for plain blazers, such as prints or stripes, which in most cases she combined with plain basic t-shirts.
“In addition, during these months, the Queen chose to throw away the wardrobe, a strategy that continued for the rest of 2020, a year in which she barely released new clothes. A trend that Kate Middleton now seems to have chosen.”
The royal opted for a minimal style, wearing her Hugo Boss glen check print suit.
The suit consists of Jalorra Blazer and matching trouser.
Underneath the suit, Letizia was wearing a light brown top.
Upon arrival, she had a Felipe Varela beige long wool coat over the top.
The outfit consisted of a number of repeats that she had been seen in as recent as this month.
