Meghan is known to have been a long-time fan of Dr Brown’s teachings.

When the Duchess was guest editing British Vogue in 2019, she included Dr Brown’s article Speak Your Truth, Follow Your Wild Heart.

In the article, Ms Brown said of social media criticism: “The only foolproof strategy I’ve come up with so far is this: owning our story, owning what we believe, and loving ourselves is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.”

It matched Meghan’s theme for her edition of the magazine, which was centred on women and empowerment.

The Sussexes friendship with the self-help guru shows new insight into their star-studded lives in California.

Dr Brown’s counts the Sussexes among many famous admirers, including stars such as Oprah Winfrey, Melinda Gates and Gwyneth Paltrow.

She also has had five number one New York Times bestselling books.

Meghan and Harry were pictured dressed casually for the California heat, as they passed school supplies local families.

A source at the event said to Town and Country “everyone was in great spirits” at the drive-through charity event.
