Biographers have claimed Meghan and Harry were gifted freebies from friends and supporter’s worth up to £3.5million. In the new biography on the two, ‘Finding Freedom’, penned by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, the pair were alleged to have been gifted free trips on private jets, heavily discounted hotel rooms and romantic holidays. The book, to which the authors spoke to more than 100 sources, has made several bold claims about the pair’s lives.
According to the book, chief among those lavish gifts and discounts for the pair was the hire of a private jet to travel to the UK.
The flight was arranged by Meghan’s long-term best friend and socialite, Jessica Mulroney.
Ms Mulroney chartered a private jet for the Meghan in October 2016 to visit the UK, with a one-way cost estimated at £49,000 within the total £3.5million gifted to the pair, the Daily Mail has reported.
The book states: “Jessica arranged for her to use the private jet of the Canadian real-estate power couple Krystal Koo and Michael Cooper.

“Long-time friends of Jessica’s, the couple had run interference in the past for Harry and Meghan and were more than happy to help.
“Fancying a trip to London themselves, Krystal and Michael joked about hiding Meghan in one of the new suitcases Meghan had bought.”
During their courtship, the book also states the pair were given a four-bedroom cottage at the Soho House property in Babington, Somerset.
The pair were allowed the cottage, which typically costs £1,800 a night at the behest of friend and Soho House director, Markus Anderson.

The book states: “Fancying a trip to London themselves, Krystal and Michael joked about hiding Meghan in one of the new suitcases Meghan had bought.
“In Oxfordshire, barely an hour-and-a-half outside of London, it was the perfect retreat from the city.
“Although the stone house stood on 100 acres of English countryside, they still enjoyed sashimi and other Japanese dishes delivered to their cottage from Pen Yen, one of the restaurants on the property.”
Mr Anderson also secured a heavily discounted hotel room at his company’s Dean Street property in central London at the beginning of their relationship for Meghan in 2016.

“Meghan had been offered a heavily discounted stay at the five-star Dorchester Hotel but chose the luxurious room secured by Markus Anderson — Soho House director and Meghan’s friend instead.
“As a celebrity and influencer, Meghan was regularly offered free holidays, travel discounts, and the like.
“But she turned down the Dorchester amid a Hollywood boycott after the hotel chain’s owner, the Sultan of Brunei, introduced sharia law in his country.”
The book also alleges the pair had jetted to enjoy a brief break with George and Amal Clooney at their home on Lake Como.
Out of generosity, George offered to arrange a flight back to the UK for the pair.
It is estimated that this would’ve cost £13,260 usually.
The book adds: “A few months after the drama with her father, George Clooney arranged for Harry and Meghan to fly from London to Lake Como on his own private jet.”
