Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals more than a year ago and the exit deal they reached with Queen Elizabeth II, 94, was due to be reviewed in March. The review was expected to assess whether or not the couple could keep their HRH styles and Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles going forward, however a royal insider has claimed there is “no need” for it to take place.

Megxit review ‘cancelled’

Vanity Fair royal correspondent Katie Nicholl told True Royalty TV’s Royal Beat the one-year review was unlikely to go ahead.

She said: “My understanding from the Sussexes camp is that there has been communication with the Queen, Prince Charles and with William as well.

“The general feeling is that this [current situation] is working.

She added: “This isn’t to say that people are not watching closely what these deals are, what the couple are doing and what these projects are going to be.

“But there is not this need to have this review one year on.”
