Many royal fans have noticed the young royal bears a striking resemblance to the women in the Spencer family. Fans have found a particular likeness with Princess Diana’s niece.

Lady Kitty Spencer posted a throwback image of herself as a child on Instagram in celebration of her birthday last Christmas.

The 29th birthday post prompted comments from royal fans about the pair’s similarities.

In the picture, young Lady Spencer is surrounded by birthday cake, Barbie-themed plates, cups and stickers as she sits at a table.

The model wrote in a caption: “Thank you to everybody who made it the most special birthday I can remember (although this Barbie party looked pretty cool too!)”

One user commented: “Certainly can see Princess Charlotte in this expression of Kitty.”

Another, as first reported by Hello!, wrote “Kitty is Charlotte!” while one user added: “I thought it was Princess Charlotte.”

The fashion model is the daughter of the Earl of Spencer and niece of Princess Diana.

Charlotte, five, has also been compared to The Queen, her great-grandmother.

It was accompanied by several other pictures, including Kate and William on stage with the cast, and has been liked more than one million times.

One user wrote: “Prince Louis looks very much like his grandad Kate’s father”, while another posted “beautiful family”.

Another wrote: “Louis looks like Kate’s father. Spitting image of him. Love William and Kate and this beautiful family.”

Prince William and Kate pleased fans by sharing an adorable festive snap of their young family taken at their country residence, Anmer Hall.

Royal Christmas plans, like the rest of the country, are much changed this year.

The Queen, 94, and the Duke of Edinburgh, 99, set the example by announcing they will have a quiet Christmas at Windsor Castle instead of traveling to their Sandringham estate in Norfolk as they usually do.

It means a break in traditions for the first time since 1987.

The Queen was pictured last week with other members of the Royal Family for the first time since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

She is joined by the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Kate, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, and the Princess Royal in the socially distanced snap on the steps of Windsor.

As the Queen re-entered her home afterwards, William told her: “Bye gran!”
