The bundle of joy is the first grandchild of Eugenie’s delighted parents, the Duke of York and ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York.
But his arrival comes after a tough few months for Jack’s family after his father George contracted COVID-19 in 2020 and was put on a ventilator for five weeks.
Eugenie, 30, and her husband were warned to “prepare for the worst” but Mr Brooksbank thankfully,recovered,with his daughter-in-law posting a video thanking NHS staff for saving his life.
He will be known as Master Brooksbank and will not be an HRH nor hold a title, unless the Queen decides to intervene and give Mr Brooksbank an earldom or issue a Letters Patent. However, it is thought this to be unlikely.
