Princess Eugenie won’t “rule out” going for a “more unexpected name” for her baby, a Ladbrokes representative has claimed. Last year, the Queen’s granddaughter announced that she and her husband Jack Brooksbank were expecting their first child in early 2021. With the due date thought to be fast approaching, UK betting company Ladbrokes has updated betting odds for the royal baby name.

Representative Jessica O’Reilly said: “It’s an exciting start to the year for the Royals.

“The early betting favours traditional names such as Grace and Arthur for the newest addition to the family.

“However, tradition could be thrown out the window.

“Betters may not want to rule out Eugenie going for a more unexpected name.”

She added: “With Eugenie’s own name being fairly left-field, we can’t rule out a moniker such as Tarquin or Matilda.”

Odds for Tarquin are currently at 12/1, whereas Matilda hasn’t cracked the top 18.

After Grace, Victoria, Arabella and Alice are the most popular for a girl.

They all stand at 7/1 odds.

Elizabeth and Philip are both strong possibilities presented.

In fact they’re much higher than the princess’ own parents.

Sarah comes in at 16/1 compared to Elizabeth at 10/1

Andrew comes in much lower at 20/1 in contrast to Philip at 12/1.

Eugenie’s cousin, Zara Tindall, is also expected to give birth this spring.
