Boxer jailed after pocketing £245k in cash-for-crash scams to fund lavish lifestyle (Report)

A boxer who scammed insurers out of £245,000 using cash-for-crash fraud has been jailed for a second time.

Hamid Sediqi – who also goes by the name Kevin Heartbreak – invented a series of car crashes to make more than 60 bogus insurance claims.

He used the money to fund a lavish lifestyle, including buying several cars and a penthouse flat on Gran Canaria.

Sediqi, 36, orchestrated the fraud with the help of his girlfriend, Belma Draganovic, and fellow boxer Mason Smith, who has also appeared as a contestant on dating reality TV show Singletown.

The group took it in turns to pretend they had been involved in car crashes to pocket compensation from insurance company Aviva.

Pictures of damaged cars taken from the internet were used to bolster their claims and avoid suspicion.

Sediqi also pretended to run a well-known insurance claims management company and received referral fees of up to £700 plus VAT for every claim he passed on to solicitors.
