Eugenie and Jack moved into the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s home six weeks ago as they prepared to welcome their first child. But now it appears they’ve had a change of heart about the home given to Meghan and Harry as a wedding present from the Queen. The Sussexes have not lived at Frogmore Cottage, in Windsor, since they dramatically quit their duties as senior members of the Royal Family to seek a new life in the US.

Now royal fans are wondering if Meghan and Harry will return to their former home.

One person wrote on Twitter: “Could it be that #PrinceHarry & #MeghanMarkle have plans to return to the UK early in 2021?”

Another person confidently added: “Yup. They’re coming back.”

A third social media user argued the couple should now stay in the hands of the Queen.

They said: “Wouldn’t it be the righteous thing to do and give the Queen the property back?

“Prince Harry and Meghan don’t need it.”

Meghan and Harry spent £2.4million of taxpayers money on revamping the cottage before they moved away, which they have since paid back.

Meghan shared a glimpse inside her new £11 million home in Santa Barbara, California, today, as she praised the “quiet heroes” of the coronavirus pandemic.

Meghan said she had been “inspired by the stories of compassion in our communities”.

She also praised those who “made sure those around them did not have to suffer in isolation” in a video message for CNN.

In a video message for CNN, she said: “And they showed us, all of us, that even in the darkest times when we come together, we have the power to remind someone else that there is hope and that we will be okay.”
