The Duchess of York posted three pictures of her daughter, Princess Eugenie, along with her new born baby and husband Jack Brooksbank.
She commented: “As Grandparents, The Duke and I are thrilled and blessed at the arrival of our grandson August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.
“He is a beautiful blessing and a bringer of such love and joy to all our Family.
“I am so proud of Jack and Eugenie, they are and will be wonderful parents.”
Eugenie gave birth to her son at 08:55 GMT on February 9 at London’s Portland Hospital.
The new royal, the Queen’s ninth great-grandchild, is 11th in line to the British throne.
Mr Brooksbank was by his wife’s side for the birth.
In a statement Buckingham Palace said: “The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke of York, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news.
“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
